Marrakech To Fes : 3 Day Sahara Adventure

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Marrakech City - Tichka Pass - Telouat Kasbah - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Skoura - Rose Valley - Dades Gorges

• Morning : We will pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech at ( 09 : 00 AM ). then driving to the the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka pass. This road offers breathtaking views of rugged mountain landscapes and Berber villages. your first stop at Ait Ben Haddou to visit this UNESCO World Heritage site, a famous Ksar ( fortified village ) that has appeared in many movies like Game of Thrones. Explore its narrow alleys and climb to the top for panoramic views over the surrounding desert.
• Afternoon : Continue driving through the scenic Ouarzazate region. Known as the " Gateway to the Sahara " , Ouarzazate is home to the famous Atlas Film Studios. you can enjoy your lunch here in Ouarzazate offering traditional Moroccan cuisine after an  optionally visit the studio or the Taourirt Kasbah to learn more about this region’s cinematic history. then depart for Dades Gorges. the road leads through beautiful valleys and traditional Berber villages. the Dades Valley is known for its dramatic Gorges and rock formations, offering a picturesque landscape.
• Evening : Arrive at Dades Gorges. check-in at a traditional hotel. you will have your dinner at your hotel featuring local Moroccan dishes.
• Overnight in Dades Gorges . ( Hotel )

Day 2 : Dades Gorges - Tinghir - Arfoud - Merzouga Desert

• Morning : After your breakfast you will start driving to Merzouga desert. The journey takes you through several small Berber villages along the way. your first stop at Tinejdad, a charming village famous for its Palm Groves and ancient irrigation systems. you’ll have a short break to stretch your legs and explore.
• Afternoon : Continue driving towards Erfoud, which is known for its fossil industry and desert architecture. you will have your lunch at a traditional restaurant in Erfoud or on the road. try the local specialty, Medfouna ( a type of stuffed pastry ), or a classic Moroccan Tajine. continue your drive towards Merzouga, crossing the Desert terrain and seeing the first hints of the famous sahara dunes. Arrive in Merzouga.
• Evening : Begin your camel trek to the desert camp. the camels will carry you through the golden sand dunes of the sahara, offering incredible views as the sun starts to set, which is the best part of the day. after your arriving at the desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with traditional Berber hospitality. after you will enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner under the starry sky around a campfire. your overnight will be in a traditional Berber tent. the silence and the stars make for a peaceful night.
• Overnight in Merzouga Desert. ( Tent )

Day 3 : Merzouga Desert - Arfoud - Rachidia - Midelt - Ifran - Fes City

• Morning : Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, a serene and beautiful moment to start your day. then enjoying your breakfast, featuring Moroccan pancakes.
• Afternoon : You will start driving from Merzouga to Fes and head toward Rissani, the ancient capital of the Tafilalet region. you will stop at Rissani, where you can visit the local market, a lively spot where nomadic desert tribes and Berber villagers come to sell their goods. If you’d like, you can explore the local kasbah and take some photos of the market.  then depart for Ziz Valley, a stunning green valley filled with Thousands of Palm trees. It’s one of the most picturesque areas in Morocco, surrounded by dramatic mountain landscapes. after will enjoy your lunch in Ziz Valley at a local restaurant, enjoying traditional Moroccan dishes with a view of the palm groves.
• Evening : Continue your drive towards City of Fes, passing through the Middle Atlas Mountains and small Berber villages. After your arrive in Fes, we will drop you off at your hotel or to the Airport.
