Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Marrakech City – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate City – Skoura

  • Depart Marrakech at 09:00 AM, crossing the scenic Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260m), with stunning views of Berber villages along the way. Stop for coffee or tea in a traditional roadside café before visiting Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient kasbahs and film locations like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. In the afternoon, continue to Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Morocco" to visit the Taourirt Kasbah. Journey on to Skoura, a lush oasis with a dense palm grove, and explore the historic Kasbah Amridil. In the evening, check into a charming hotel and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. Overnight in Skoura.

Day 2 : Skoura – Agdz – Zagora – M’Hamid El Ghizlane – Erg Chigaga 

  • After breakfast, journey through the lush Draa Valley, home to over four million date palms and dotted with picturesque Berber villages. Stop in Agdz to explore Kasbah Tamnougalt, a remarkable 16th-century fortification. In the afternoon, arrive in Zagora, a historic trading hub, where you’ll visit the ancient Jewish Quarter and enjoy a light lunch. Continue to M’Hamid El Ghizlane, the gateway to the Sahara, before heading off-road toward the majestic Erg Chigaga Dunes. Arrive at your desert camp by camel or 4x4, witness a breathtaking sunset over the dunes, and savor a traditional Moroccan dinner with Berber music by the campfire. Overnight in Erg Chigaga.

Day 3 : Erg Chigaga – Foum Zguid – Tazenakht – Taliouine – Taroudant City 

  • Wake early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, a peaceful moment in the heart of the Sahara. After breakfast, begin a scenic off-road journey through the dramatic desert landscape, passing the dry Lake Iriki, once a thriving oasis. Arrive in Foum Zguid, marking your return to paved roads and the edge of civilization. In the afternoon, stop in Tazenakht, famed for its Berber carpets, where you’ll learn about traditional weaving and meet local artisans. Continue to Taliouine, Morocco’s saffron capital, to visit a cooperative and enjoy a cup of saffron tea. In the evening, arrive in Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech”, where you’ll explore its lively souks and ancient ramparts before checking into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Taroudant City – Aoulouz – Igli – Imlil ( Hight Atlas Mountains )

  • Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before setting off toward the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing through the picturesque Berber villages of Aoulouz and Igli, surrounded by almond and argan trees. Stop at scenic viewpoints along the way for photos and a refreshing break. In the afternoon, arrive in Imlil, nestled in the High Atlas Mountains at the foot of Mount Toubkal (4,167m). Take a short hike to discover local waterfalls and terraced fields, then visit a Berber family home for tea and a glimpse into their daily life and traditions. In the evening, check into a cozy guesthouse with stunning mountain views and enjoy a hearty dinner made with local ingredients. Overnight in Imlil.

Day 5 : Imlil – Asni – Marrakech  City

  • After breakfast, begin your descent through the scenic Atlas Mountains, passing the village of Asni, known for its vibrant weekly souk if traveling on a Saturday. Continue to Tahnaout, a village renowned for traditional pottery and local crafts. Arrive back in Marrakech in the early afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
